We believe in taking care of our planet, our animals, and ourselves. We are PETA and Leaping Bunny certified as cruelty-free and vegan, which means we never use any animal fats or byproducts, nor do we test on animals. We use eco-friendly glass and biodegradable cardboard packaging.

Founder Story The foundation for florapothecarie began in 2009, when I discovered my favorite body wash contained a host of ingredients I couldn't pronounce. In researching these long-winded chemicals, I found many of them were linked to skin ailments from rashes and irritation to cancers and birth defects. I immediately tossed all offending cosmetics and got to work whipping up my own natural beauty concoctions in my kitchen.
It started with simple sugar scrubs and sort of... snowballed! Once I started, I couldn't stop finding ways to replace my chemical-laden beauty products with the 100% natural ones I was creating. My curiosity and eagerness to create even more products led me to taking classes and workshops in making natural cosmetics and herbalism.
Throughout all of this, I was also in a very toxic relationship. It took a lot of courage and will-power to realize it was unhealthy and leave my partner, but as I was ditching toxic chemicals, I knew I needed to ditch toxic people too. So I did. In 2016, I left my ex-boyfriend and launched florapothecarie in the same month. As women, we are surrounded by toxicity - toxic people, toxic messages, toxic ingredients. I founded florapothecarie to inspire women to ditch all of this toxicity and embrace their natural beauty. I hope you'll join me on this mission. <3
