Founder Story I started running over 25 years ago. I learned the art of boxing. I taught myself how to play tennis. And, I love the challenge and intensity of hot yoga. However, finding active wear in a size 12 or14 was difficult. If you find something, anything, the odds of it fitting properly was nearly impossible. I was wearing the same clothes no matter the sport/activity - that's just wrong! And, I wasn't alone. So, in 2017, I left my job as a Social Worker, and started learning the ins & outs of fashion/design industry. In 2019 I launched Heat Athletic, a clothing company for women who wear sizes 12-26. The Mission Statement at Heat Athletic is crafted as a Love Letter to women who have felt left out, unappreciated, and ignored in active spaces (and beyond) due to their body size/shape. The goal at Heat Athletic is to creates a safe space, open dialogue and killer clothes for active women sizes 12-26 who love their bodies... no apologies!
