Katherine Homes is bringing attention to threatened species and wild lands through affordable and functional art. A 1% for the Planet Member, she is committed to giving back to partner organizations who focus on protecting the wild.
Founder Story After working for a handful of incredible organizations on climate change, sustainability, conservation, and environmental education, Katherine Homes realized she wanted to start her own company committed to continuing the environmental work she is so passionate about but on her own terms, as an artist. She was eager to use her creative talents as a way to bring attention to the issues that matter most to her.
In 2016, Katherine released her solo music album, Speak. In order to raise money to create the album, she offered hats with her designs on them and prints of her artwork as a reward on Kickstarter. These were so well received; she decided to turn it into a brand for good.
With a national sales team, and products extending beyond hats, calendars, prints of her work, face masks, stickers and more, KT is growing her company every day. She believes that positive action - big or small - can truly make a difference and it all starts with one step.
