Lola&Lykke is a community-driven online platform that connects aspiring, expecting, and new parents to a network of wellness tools, products, and resources. Our goal is that everyone gets the evidence-based information, comprehensive human support and health products needed to thrive physically, mentally, and professionally throughout pregnancy, childbirth and postpartum.
Lola&Lykke´s goal is to improve maternal health outcomes and to help create a positive, enduring change in the world. Better maternal health means more physical healing, more emotional wellbeing, more happy households, healthy families, and more new parents retained and rising in the workforce.
Founder Story We became maternal health and wellness advocates through our own experiences of becoming mums. Becoming a mother was a life-transforming experience for us both. Despite this major life change and intense physical experience, once our babies were here, a lot of the care and attentiveness became focused on our babies alone. We felt that this was a pretty big oversight, since in your fourth trimester and beyond, you as a mother need support and guidance just as much as your new baby does. Motherhood has ignited a strong drive in us to prepare other women for the expected and unexpected events that come with pregnancy and childbirth. We want to change motherhood for the better by giving mums the tools that allow them to look after themselves better. In the middle of our busy family lives, taking care of ourselves often takes a backseat. Still, we are acutely aware that a mother is only able to thrive when she is looked after too. If we can encourage mums to look after themselves more and make them feel less alone with the changes in their life and body, then we’ve done what we set out to do.
