Founder Story For me, food has always been about more than just eating. It is nostalgic, and it connects us. Growing up in Damascus, Syria, dates are an essential and traditional daily treat. During Ramadan, my family and I would break our fast with a date stuffed with walnuts. Dates hit the sweet spot for me without added or refined sugar.
So I knew that by using this ancient fruit of my ancestors as the hero ingredient, I could create a nutrient-dense treat with no sugar added and help reclaim the narrative of the Middle East by sharing my uplifting story.
