Founder Story Malabar Trading Company is a Monterey Bay-based boutique tea retailer founded by Annaliese Keller. Ms. Keller is known for her artful blending of traditional classic teas, authentic chai mixes, and eclectic herbal tisanes with a fresh and contemporary approach. With a keen sense of aesthetics, a professional foundation in culinary arts and graphic design, and a very discerning palate, she has created several award-winning teas and chai blends. In 2011, her Kashmiri Chai was an award winner at the North American World Tea Competition.
