For nearly two decades Naomi Furgiuele led product development and scientific teams for some of the world’s biggest global brands.

As part of her work, she met women all over the world on their own skin health journeys. These women were proud to share their beauty routines and rituals to address skin problems arising from where they lived. Whether they faced rough skin due to Europe’s cold climates or dullness due to environmental stressors in Asia, these women turned to local, plant-based ingredients to create their own solutions.

Inspired by these women, Naomi realized the skin problems they faced were becoming more universal. She knew women everywhere could benefit from these gems of skincare wisdom tucked away in different regions of the world.

One of the women she met was investing everything she had in her only child, a daughter. She and her husband were beaming about the education they were working so hard to give their daughter. It spoke to Naomi, a mother of two daughters, who understood that education is the key to so many things — health and wealth most of all.

Nuria was born from these experiences, and the brand is committed to be a catalyst for change for women worldwide. Every time a Nuria product is sold, a girl in a low-income country is closer to becoming the first in her family to graduate high school.
