The name “PLAY SALTY” is universal, it can be anything from playing on a beach in the sand to stand up paddle boarding, fishing, surfing, kayaking, or simply floating down a river. Play Salty is a brand that ocean lovers and everyone of all walks of life can enjoy.

The oceans are an abundant source of life. Everything eventually flows back to the oceans. From the rivers and lakes in the mountains, from the creeks that flow to the sea, it all goes back to the start, the ocean. As a 1% for the Planet member, we give back to the oceans to help protect our Planet for future generations.

We wholeheartedly believe saving our oceans and environment is crucial. This wave we hope you will ride with us promotes preservation for these concerns. As a 1% for the Planet member, we take responsibility and give back at least 1% of total annual sales to environmental solutions.

Founder Story
After working 10yrs. in the corporate world as the 3rd female hired in the company, with the rest being 2000 suits, I decided I wanted something of my own. I was really working in a man’s world and needed a healthier environment for myself and my family. I not only wanted something for myself, but something that would better our environment for future generations.

With roots in Hawaii, Southern California, and Charleston, SC and inspired by my deep love for the ocean, I created an eco-friendly ocean lover’s apparel brand. Play Salty is designed to create a healthier planet. As a member of 1% for the Planet, a global movement inspiring businesses and individuals to support environmental solutions through memberships and everyday actions, we are committed to supporting clean air, clean oceans, and clean beaches for a happy planet.
