Robin has re-created herself a few times, starting out in journalism, then working in advertising and radio advertising sales, before staying at home for a time with her three children. She then decided to embark on a quest to become a published romance author, and eventually published fifteen books with Harlequin/Mills&Boon. In 2020 she joined her husband in Vail after his annual men's ski trip to ski for a few extra days with him and their adult kids. He got Covid19 there (in its earliest days) and decided to leave. Packing up his gear was a challenge since he felt so ill, and always wrapped his ski tips and tails and bindings in towels and rubber bands and bungee cords. Frustrated with how long it took, Robin decided there had to be a better way to protect your gear when traveling. She and her kids designed a prototype, then Robin attended a cut and sew workshop in North Carolina and connected with a manufacturer there. PondoZ ski and snowboard slippers were born. They also have a detachable, padded carry strap since some people (including Robin!) find carrying skis to the slopes quite awkward. PondoZ launched in December of 2021 with Robin as CEO, wearing many hats, and her daughter and two sons working part time as well.
