LOW KEY, HIGH ELEVATION
A small outdoor events company with old school roots. Our tagline is Low Key, High Elevation and we mean it. The courses offer spectatular terrain and views in the Beartooth Mountains but don't let the courses scare you off, all our races are no frills, affordable, welcoming, and always have the best snack table. We don't offer finisher medals or have big fancy sponsors (yet) but we do offer a community of folks who like to spend their time outdoors with good company.
Founder Story Kristen was broke and wanted to run so she started volunteering for local races in exchange for free entries. Volunteering evolved from aid station to assistant race director and eventually progrossed to a small stipend in exchange for Race Directing. In 2019, after 5 years of volunteering for local races, she bought a few races and Red Lodge Events is what you see today. The races will always be affordable and offer volunteer opportunities in exchange for race entries and be a welcoming environment for all ages and abilities. Giving back to the community that supported her is a primary focus and in 2021, Red Lodge Events donated nearly $6,500 back to the Red Lodge community. In addition to running Red Lodge Events, kristen coaches for Red Lodge Middle School Cross Country and hosts a free running camp, Camp Run-A-Ton at the Boys and Girls Club during the summer.
