Simple Switch

SimpleSwitch.org is an online marketplace for ethical and impactful shopping. (Think “like Amazon” except every one of the 3,000+ products has a positive social or environmental impact.) They aim to shift some of the HUNDREDS OF BILLIONS spent online this year to everyday products and gifts that support orphan care, plant trees, combat climate change, and more. Simple Switch exists to bring ease and convenience to ethical and impactful online shopping, and change the world through positive impact purchasing. Simple Switch believes deeply in the power of entrepreneurship to solve some of our most serious global problems.

Founder Story
I grew up with the natural world as my playground, with a grandmother who pulled over to pick up litter, and a mom who recycled before it was cool. I have had the opportunity to travel from a young age and was exposed to the impacts of systems of poverty in a way I've never forgotten. For me, creating systems that serve people and the planet was always going to be part of my career. When I started trying to make it a part of my shopping habits, too, I realized how DIFFICULT and CONFUSING that can be, and I decided the average American shopper needed a simple option for conscious shopping.

I believe business can be a force for good, and I see the roughly 700 BILLION spent online each year as an opportunity for us as consumers to divest from companies and products that exploit our earth and its people, to products that empower them! I have the best job in the world, connecting shoppers like you with social and environmental enterprises making a difference in the world through things as simple as toilet paper and coffee, or your holiday gifts! I'm passionate about making these transactions so easy and enjoyable, that ethical and impactful shopping will not be an aspirational concept, but become "business as usual." I've worked hard to make this happen for 3 years now with the help of our shoppers from around the country (who I call our "everyday difference makers"), and now we're ready to grow to a national level, with your help.
