Founder Story Liz Hilton started her career as a 3d knit designer while studying the manual machine knitting craft at the Politecnico di Milano. When she returned to her native city, NYC she elevated her skills to the programming of 3d knit garments on CNC knitting machines. She went on to work for Stoll (biggest knitting machine manufacturer in the world) in NYC and in Germany. She eventually landed in Michigan working to bring 3d knit solutions to the office furniture industry. From there she learned many industries could use this additive manufacturing solution so she quit and founded KNITit in 2015 as a service based business for 3d knit product development. In 2017 Liz had her first baby....and he hated being swaddled. So why not use the same technology she uses every day to solve her swaddling problem at home? KNITit began to shift from being just a development company to manufacturing product for its sub brand Swaddelini.
