Vaila Shoes is a modern dress shoe brand for women with extended shoe sizes (9-14). Vaila utilizes the trends of today to create a seasonal dress shoe line designed for the workplace and afterhours. Our seasonal dress shoes include: Pumps, Slingbacks, Sandals, Flats, and Boots. Each of our shoes are workplace appropriate in women's sizes 9-14 (US) with heel heights up to 4' tall . For years, we've had to buy unreliable shoes that didn't cater to our foot structure. At Vaila, we engineered our shoes to have a thicker heel base, spacious toe boxes, and insoles that actually covers the larger foot structure.

Founder Story

Cats out the bag - I wear an extended shoe size! I wear an 11 wide, and when I'm shopping for shoes to accommodate my business lifestyle, I always ran into shelves with little to no options. I found myself going to multiple stores, shopping online for hours, even borrowing shoes just to get through the day. Sad to say, this has been happening to me ever since I was 14 years old. I would go into retail stores growing up and I would always feel less than a female and not beautiful because of my larger shoe size. My footwear fashion expression was never an option compared to women with smaller feet.

It wasn't until I started preparing for an upcoming business conference (pre-pandemic), and I went through the headache of finding heels that would help me to attempt to show up as my best self internally and externally. As you could imagine, it was a failure. For decades, we've been unsupported by society's beauty standards and unconsidered within the retail footwear market. How are we supposed to be able to show up as our "best self" if we can't even find the shoes to accommodate us?

After that moment, it was clear: I needed to create Vaila to give us aVAILAbility. We're on a mission to empower women of the forgotten with access to dress shoes (the hardest category for them to find) that they deserve. It is our goal to redefine beauty standards and incorporate size inclusivity in the women’s footwear industry.
