The name Tini Lux comes from the earrings themselves: they are made with Titanium and Niobium in luxury styles. Titanium and Niobium are special because they are two of the only metals that do not react with the human body.
We believe fashion jewelry should not only be stylish but also functional. What use is a cute pair of earrings if it causes itching and irritation after a few minutes? Jewelry should coexist peacefully with the human body, be fun to wear, and affordable.
Founder Story I gave up wearing earrings over 10 years ago because every pair I tried left my ears swollen, sore, or bleeding. I felt like I had tried every option (gold, hypoallergenic, nickel free, clear nail polish, etc) and nothing worked for me. I knew from complaining about it over the years that this problem was very common.
Eventually after many years I decided to try to find earrings again. I stumbled upon a website selling basic titanium studs as "healing earrings" with some information about titanium being commonly used for medical implants because it is non-allergenic and non-reactive with the human body. I gave it a shot and found that for the first time I could wear earrings with ZERO pain. I wanted more titanium earrings in fashionable styles but could not find a single pair. At that point, I decided if I could not find what I wanted then I would create my own and Tini Lux was born.
