SugarSky
SugarSky is a handmade-in-USA headwear & accessories company that strives to be different, and we aim to serve everyone who shares this philosophy with us. Caring more about our customers than making a buck, we exist to encourage and empower everyone who comes in contact with our gear - those who design, make, sell, buy, gift, and wear it. Our products are designed, printed, cut and sewn from comfortable, fun-patterned, eco-friendly & UV-rated fabric right here in the USA. Our products are wearable multiple ways and are sewn by highly-skill & well-paid American sewers. We are thrilled to bring you "made on our soil" products.
Before we release our gear to the world, it is customer-tested by those who share your singular spirit for a good life - one that is well-designed, hand-crafted, colorful, and lived close to nature. SugarSky is on a never-ending learning curve, and we welcome your feedback. We want you - our loyal customers - to ride shotgun with us as we drive our business forward and continue encouraging that being different is ok. fun. attractive. amazing. and beautiful.

Back at the age of 25, I had started a division inside a construction software company, and though the position was highly sought after and the money was great, I knew I was meant for more. During this time, my husband and I got married and, after moving in together, realized we were truly slaves to our jobs. We seriously never saw each other. It was then that we decided there was sooo much more to life and set off on a journey to live more simply.
Whether backpacking, wakeboarding, snowboarding, you name it, I always seemed to have a headband on. The idea for SugarSky first came to me back in 2014 when I couldn’t find any cool patterned headbands to buy and, while sitting in their 300sf apartment sipping on a glass of wine, I looked at my husband and said, “Heck, I know how to sew… what if I just try this myself?!”.
That's when SugarSky was born! I set off with my mom's hand-me-down, 25 year old sewing machine sewing as many headbands as I could… solely as a means to help cover our bills and to fill that creative side I had so long neglected.
My husband, Brian, and I then went on to design + build + dwell in our tiny home (@wanderingonwheels) over the course of the next 3 years which allowed me to take on SugarSky full-time. From side-hustle to full-time gig, SugarSky is now a flourishing business where we design, print, cut and sew headbands, bandanas, scrunchies, fanny packs, swimsuits, pouches, and more + we now employ the most amazing seamstresses, photographers, designers, and more right here on our USA soil!
