What is a FOUTA? A FOUTA is a versatile, luxurious, beautiful and practical textile that is created with the finest linens and fibers imported from Tunisia. It’s MULTI-USE as it can be a bath towel, beach towel, sarong, bedspread, blanket, etc.

What size is a FOUTA? Traditional FOUTAS are 100cm by 200cm, about 40in by 74in. If you're looking for the perfect oversized beach towel, this size is for you. However, if your life requires something a little bigger, we offer XL editions as well. See individual FOUTAS for exact measurements.

As I was sitting on the breezy beach alongside my two chilly and wet children, the only comfort I could provide was a soggy, smelly, heavy, cold beach towel. I wrapped them up and lugged my disgruntled toddlers and heavy towels back to the house. I needed another option that would not only have made our day more enjoyable, but would also have taken a small burden off the heavy beach load of children, toys, sunscreen, etc. That being said, I am not one to compromise style for practicality. And there, the idea for the stylish yet practical textile was born.

When I pack for a trip to the beach, the lake, or a long drive, I never think of hauling a towel; it's heavy, bulky, and just takes up too much space. A light-weight FOUTA, on the other hand, will forever have its place in my travel bag.

Use your FOUTA, like I do, as a changing pad for your baby, a blanket when your toddler is shivering, or as a cover-up for when best intentions still don't have your body feeling beach-ready.
