Kintla Couture + Wildartness
Kintla Couture + Wildartness is a lifestyle apparel company for humans and dogs. We specialize in webbing dog collars, leashes, belts, hatbands, stickers and other fun wearable art like hats and earrings. All of our products feature hand drawn imagery by Rachel Cudmore aka "Wildartness" based on the natural world of the Greater Yellowstone Area.
I am Rachel Cudmore: artist, creator, outdoor enthusiast and dog mom! Our small handmade company started in Gardiner, Montana in 2013 when I went out in search of a fashionable collar for our dog Kintla (named after Kintla Lake in Glacier National Park). At the time, I couldn’t find anything that fit her personality, so I created one myself using my mother’s 1970s Husqvarna Viking sewing machine. Kintla Couture started with collars made from black webbing and fun quilting fabric, but eventually we wanted to take it a step further. All of our webbing products now feature artwork inspired by the Greater Yellowstone Area hand drawn by me (@wildartness). While we are are proud of our canine line, we realized that pet-less folks also wanted in on Kintla Couture. In 2019 we began research and design on custom belt buckles and now offer two widths of belts, hatbands and earrings that match the webbing on our collars and leashes!
Creations that were once meant to be framed and hung the wall, can be enjoyed at home, on the trails, rivers, ski hill or even at the office! While I love my day job and making traditional art, KINTLA COUTURE + WILDARTNESS allows me to live a balanced, creative and full life providing products for the art collectors who want to bring this art with them into their everyday lives. While our primary focus is on wearable art, I continue to create in many mediums from digital art and graphic design, watercolor, acrylic and mix media encaustic paintings.
All products are designed and assembled by Rachel in Yellowstone National Park. When possible, Kintla Couture sources material from other local companies.
