Tidewater Fleece Co.
Tidewater Fleece Co. is a small-batch, handmade clothing company born and based in Alaska. Our fun fleece beanies, skirts, and more are designed to help you get excited to get cold!
We know firsthand how life-changing it can feel to not let “bad” weather stop you from getting out and connecting to the world around you. Tidewater Fleece strives to craft high-quality, cozy pieces that not only motivate you to get out in the cold, but fuel your confidence from the tundra trails to the city streets.
Our commitment to our people doesn’t stop there. Tidewater Fleece Co. donates 5% of all profits to a rotating nonprofit in an effort to celebrate and support our community through the ups and downs of the seasons.
Tidewater Fleece Co. all started in the summer of 2023 in Seward, Alaska where Mandy was working as a sea kayak guide. Spending all day, everyday, paddling around huge tidewater glaciers in rainy coastal Alaska, is magical. But, the conditions can make it hard to motivate yourself to get out in the morning. Mandy and her friend started making fun fleece skirts as a way to get excited to embrace the rain and cold weather every day. They bought a sewing machine, word spread around town, and boom: with a lot of love, sweat, and sometimes tears, Tidewater Fleece Co. was born and raised at their guide house’s kitchen table that summer.
Mandy, now riding solo, operates Tidewater Fleece Co. out of her bright orange studio in Anchorage, Alaska. She believes in the power of feeling confident and fully yourself, whether you’re hitting the city streets or your favorite trails. She hopes Tidewater Fleece inspires people to get excited to get cold, knowing how life-changing it can feel when you don’t let the weather stop you from getting out and connecting to the world around you.
