Wilderdog builds tough, reliable dog gear for everyday walks and epic adventures alike. Built with long-lasting materials and backed by a lifetime warranty, our products, from climbing-inspired leashes and collars to travel and trail essentials, are made to withstand real outdoor use. With a focus on thoughtful design and dependable performance, Wilderdog’s mission is to equip dogs and their humans with gear that inspires more adventure and time outside together.
We started Wilderdog in 2015, inspired by our love of adventure with dogs. At the time, I was using old climbing ropes to make my own dogs' leashes. While climbing-rope leashes existed in some form, I knew I could design a better one at a more accessible price. I connected with a local rope maker in California’s Central Valley and produced our first run of 400 leashes, 100 of each of four patterns I designed. They sold out almost immediately. What started as a few hundred leashes quickly grew into a full line of adventure-ready gear, including sleeping bags, backpacks, and more. Today, Wilderdog remains rooted in that original idea: create tough, thoughtfully designed products that make it easier for people and their dogs to get outside and enjoy every adventure together.
