Wildhaven Wools is a woman-owned merino wool clothing company based in Haines, Alaska, making naturally warm, soft, no-itch clothing for kids and adults who love playing outside.
Every piece is made from 100% superfine New Zealand merino wool that is RWS and ZQ certified - naturally breathable, temperature-regulating, and warm even when wet. The signature Grow-With-Me design is built to fit a child for three years or more, which means fewer clothes outgrown, fewer trips to the store, and less waste.
All designs are created in the Haines, Alaska studio and sewn in small batches in the USA, and orders ship in plastic-free, recyclable packaging. Wildhaven Wools is available online and at its retail shop in downtown Haines.
Wildhaven Wools was founded by Julia, a mom, designer, and nature-lover who grew up exploring the rainforests and beaches of Southeast Alaska. The idea for Wildhaven Wools kids base layers started with her own kids and the childhood she wanted for them. She wanted her kids outside as much as possible, but the options for kids were itchy, sweaty, and quickly grown out of. Every morning seemed to start with a battle with her toddlers over what to wear. So she began designing her own soft, no-itch merino pieces that kids actually want to put on, and were designed to last. Today she designs every Wildhaven piece from her studio in Haines and proudly manufactures in the USA.
