Jennifer Scism has been a professional chef for over two decades. A graduate of The French Culinary Institute in Manhattan, she began her career cooking with top chefs, working at several New York Times 3 and 4 Star rated restaurants. In 2000, Jennifer and respected chef Anita Lo, opened Annisa restaurant in New York’s Greenwich Village. Anita took the role of head chef while Jennifer ran the business operations as its general manager, sommelier, bookkeeper and all-around face of the restaurant. In 2006 the restaurant was awarded a very coveted Michelin star in the publication’s inaugural New York City addition. After 10 years as the owner of one of New York’s top rated restaurants, Jennifer moved to the southern coast of Maine in 2010. It was here she met her future husband and business partner, David Koorits. David, an avid outdoorsman, shared his passion for backpacking with Jennifer. She loved everything but the food options and started making meals for their adventures. After sharing with friends and fellow hikers, the two were persuaded to start a business with Jennifer’s gourmet creations. Good To-Go began sales the spring of 2014. Today Good To-Go meals can be found in over 600 stores across the US as well as Canada and Jennifer’s desire to bring healthy, delicious easy to prepare meals to the summit has been achieved.
