AdventurUs Women is a women-owned and led company dedicated to providing the opportunity for women of all ages, races, sizes, backgrounds and experience levels to learn and experience outdoor activities in beautiful environments. Confronting the reality that outdoor activities can be intimidating if not impossible to access on one’s own, AdventurUs Women strives to create affirming learning environments that encourage friendship and skill building while connecting with nature in stunning locales. We are a company and a community intent on supporting other women both in their outdoor journey and as professionals. Founder Story

Saveria Tilden has more than a decade’s experience in the outdoor industry, managing and developing strategic partnerships and experiential marketing campaigns. For two years, she was the partner & program manager for a national outdoor retreat series for women and has worked for REI Outdoor School as an instructor, teaching a variety of classes including kayaking, SUP, biking, rock climbing, map and compass/navigation, hiking, backpacking, and more. As an educator in a variety of fields over the past twenty years, Saveria has experienced first-hand the magic that happens when women come together to learn about and explore the outdoors, and she is passionate about bringing safe and exciting outdoor experiences to women who may otherwise not have the opportunity.

Building upon her desire to work only with companies and organizations committed to connecting people to the outdoors, Saveria created The AdventurUs, an outdoor marketing strategy, and strategic partnership consultancy. Then, convinced there are still not enough opportunities for women of all ages and backgrounds to learn and experience outdoor activities in beautiful supportive environments, Saveria went a step further and founded AdventurUs Women.

Saveria’s volunteer efforts include being the Chair of the board of directors for the American Hiking Society. She is certified as a Wilderness First Responder, Leave No Trace Master Educator, and AMGA SPI climbing guide. Saveria has a B.A. in psychology from Claremont McKenna College and an M.A. in education from Pepperdine University. She lives in Bend, OR with adventure pup, Betty.
