ALIKE

ALIKE is a unisex, sustainable children’s clothing line, digitally-printed using GOTS certified organic cotton, with the fabric and garment 100% made in USA.

As kids are not entuned to gender stereotypes, ALIKE asks why their clothing should be. As most children’s clothes skew between pink and blue or neutrals for unisex, ALIKE designs feature multiple colors that appeal to all kids. By offering unisex clothing, kids are able to choose freely, with the benefit of extending the length of the garment’s life by being able to share with whomever. ALIKE provides clothing options that are sustainable, eco-conscious, easy to wear and made for everyone, available in sizes 4-14.

ALIKE came from co-founder and designer Melissa Serpico Kamhout, who was looking for bold but timeless clothing that would appease both of her fraternal twins, Paloma and Valentino. Melissa took the idea one step further to create a unisex clothing line that was good for kids – and the environment. ALIKE is a collaboration between Melissa and partner, Kaitlin Meyer. Melissa has over ten years of luxury womenswear design experience and Kaitlin works in the finance industry and with a MBA from the University of Chicago, focusing on entrepreneurship.

The collection is made using GOTS certified organic cotton and is digitally printed with non-toxic water based ink all within the US. Each print is designed in-house to minimize fabric waste during the cutting process, ensuring that no two shirts are identical but look ALIKE. The comfy cotton allows for active play and the fit is ideal for both boys and girls with sizes ranging 4-14. The first collection is inspired by pop-art, 1970’s glam rock, and features bright, bold colors. The line is being sold direct to consumer, with 0% conventional plastic shipping materials.
