Buttnski was established in 2020 during the pandemic when we were locked inside with cocktails and funny ideas. We are women owned and operated in Summit County, Colorado, in the heart of the Rocky Mountains. Our mission is to help people spend more time doing what they love outside, without sacrificing style for performance. After a few years of starting the biz, putting things on hold and reviving it again in Winter of 2022, we launched our first two technical layers for women - our OG Shorts (to keep your butt warm on cold chairlifts while you ski) and our Blue River Down Joggers that take you from playing in the cold to après anywhere.
Founder Story Kelly & Christian co-founded Buttnski in 2020 while they were dating and on lockdown together, drinking cocktails while thinking about how they could have warmer butts next time they found themselves on a chairlift. They decided to send it, start the company, build the brand and then hit a road-block when they couldn't find materials they wanted to work with and didn't know what to do next. Fast forward to Fall 2021 - Kelly's brother helped them find a pattern maker and designer & the rest is history. Things really got rolling in Winter 2022 when they began designing their first products, the OG and the Blue River Down Jogger which launched Winter 2023. They are committed to localizing their supply chain as much as possible and these first two layers are made in the USA.
Kelly and her husband / Co-Founder, Christian, live in Silverthorne, Colorado where they love to ski, bike, fly fish and hang with their retired sled dog (a 10 year old Siberian Husky), Drake who they adopted.
