Caribou Clinic

I believe that health is a journey—not a destination—created through balance, healing, and growth. If you've ever had the privilege of watching a caribou in the wild you may have noticed that they don't appear to be in any great hurry (unless they're being chased), and yet they cover more ground in their migrations than any other mammal on land. They never stop moving. They can teach us a lot about simply putting one foot in front of the other and getting where we need to go.
They are also in tune with their surroundings. In your work with me we won't separate the health of your environment from the health of your body. All details are pertinent when it comes to optimizing the terrain of wellness; we may even schedule home visits where appropriate.

Founder Story
Naturopathic doctors are especially trained to listen for the “little things” that could be affecting your well being. This four-year training follows a bachelor’s degree and is scientifically based while also staying rooted in healing traditions thousands of years old.

I received my doctorate from the National University of Natural Medicine in Portland, Oregon, and also hold a bachelor’s degree in biology from the University of Idaho.

In your visits with me, you may hear references to the “therapeutic order” or the “naturopathic principles”; these are guideposts of the holistic approach and individualized treatment plans. I was born and raised in Alaska, headed south for a decade of schooling and training, and then returned to this great state I call home. I grew up skiing at Alyeska and set netting in Bristol Bay. When I'm not guiding patients to wellness you might see me on the snowy slopes or the bank of river with my husband, two kids, and a very shy border collie mix.
