Chickadee Art Collective is a retail shop in Kings Beach, CA on the north shore of Lake Tahoe. We feature art, apparel, jewelry, wares, and more from artists and makers in our community. We are proud to represent more than 60 artists that are creating in the Lake Tahoe area, and we continue to add new items each week. Owned and operated by artist Nicole Stirling.
Founder Story Nicole is a full-time artist who focuses in acrylic painting and beadwork. For the last 10 years she has produced a series of mandalas that she has become well known for in her area, and also paints large mandala murals for public art consumption and music festivals. After many years of vending her art in outdoor markets she started looking into small business ownership. Knowing there were many talented artists and makers in her community who needed a place to sell their work gave her the idea to open an art collective that could be a base for selling her work (and her husband's), as well as the work of any local artist who wanted to get involved.
