Founder Story
In 2014, DMOS's Founder, Susan Pieper, grew frustrated watching her son break shovel after shovel trying to build kicker jumps in her Wyoming backyard. DMOS's first product, The Kicker Toolâ„¢, was launched in October 2015 as a Kickstarter Campaign that was successfully funded and backed by some of the biggest names in action sports. Since then, DMOS has built a whole collection of shovels, vehicle mounts, and bags for snow and dirt. Along the way, we've won runner up/2nd place in the 2022 SEMA Launch Pad, the Best Winter Hard Goods Award from ISPO in 2016, been on TV twice - endorsed by an ACE Hardware Store Owner on Good Morning America and also on WGNTV in Chicago and have been all over the world selling mission-ready mobility shovels and mostly having fun doing so!

For every outdoorswoman, a DMOS Stealth or Compact Delta Shovel is a must to carry in her rig. Susan believes in empowerment and the shovel, the simplest recovery gear in the world, enables a woman to be her own hero.
