Founder Story
I founded Eucalypso when I was at my wits' end about my cotton bedding – I couldn’t understand why it was making me break out and why I was always waking up with night sweats. I kept paying more and more money upgrading my cotton bedding to higher thread count, Egyptian Cotton, and Supima Cotton, but nothing did the trick. What's more – when I did further research into cotton bedding, I realized how damaging cotton production was to the environment, both in the massive amount of resources used, and the toxic waste products formed as an output.

I knew there had to be alternatives, so I set out to find something that was softer, more breathable, and more sustainable. For over a year, I traveled the world, talking to fabric makers and weavers, and searching for the most innovative fabric technology. I wanted something that would feel luxuriously-soft while being gentle to my skin. Most of all, I wanted it to be environmentally sustainable. My goal was for everyone to sleep soundly at night in silky smooth bedding, knowing that their bedding was helping them get the best sleep while keeping the environment safe.

After countless rounds of sampling fabrics from around the world, designing and redesigning, and discussing with experts in the industry, I’ve finally created the amazing sheets I’ve been looking for. This is how Eucalypso was born.

Eucalypso sheets are made with 100% organic eucalyptus from Tencel lyocell. It is hypoallergenic and antibacterial, wicking moisture 50% more effectively than cotton. It is super-soft and gentle on the skin, so it is perfect for people with sensitive skin. AND it’s made in a closed-loop process, which means resource-conservation, and no synthetics, harmful dyes or chemicals used in its production process.
