Good inTents

My purpose in life is to live as an inventor and entrepreneur. Since a young age I have viewed the world, products, and processes through an imaginative lens of how they could be improved. I am motivated by innovation, curiosity, and refining the world around me. This quest for knowledge led me to thrive in school and beyond as a lifelong learner. I excel at science, math, music, creativity, and hands on creation which led me to attend the Honors Program at Northeastern University in Boston to receive my Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering and my minor in Materials Science while I continued to play trombone, bass guitar, and piano in band, jazz band, and for personal enjoyment. After graduation, I moved to Colorado to follow my passions for music and spending time in nature through camping, hiking, swimming, boating, fishing, snowboarding, and snowmobiling. I've continued to explore new music in Colorado and around the globe and I am a passionate attender of live music and music festivals.

I've worked for the past seventeen years to gain a diverse experience in Mechanical Engineering, New Product Development, Rapid Prototyping, Manufacturing, Sustainability, Graphic Design, and CMF (Color/Material/Finish) Design. My career has been in fast-paced, cradle-to-grave product design and development . With each new role, I learned valuable skills to add to my inventor and entrepreneur toolbelt that would set me up to realize my dream. I am proud of the work I have done and the grit I have earned through being an intelligent female engineer and empathetic leader. When I received my first patent, I was elated and my dedication to invent my own product manifested itself in a continuous list of new product ideas until one day, the idea of Good inTents shone brilliantly for me while I was watching the Cirque du Soleil movie and admiring the artisan tents. After a year of business and financial planning with mindset growth, I excitedly quit my job to become the Founder and CEO of Good inTents. This role combines my love of elegant designs, outdoor recreation, sustainability, immersive art, and music through its extensive consumer base of recreation campers and music festival attendees.

In addition to my work experience, I enthusiastically cultivate and create a life that I am proud of. I am inspired by nature and exploration and spend as much time adventuring outdoors as possible. I learned to snowboard when I moved to Colorado nine years ago and now consider myself an advanced rider that can conquer any trail on any mountain. This passion has led me to travel around the country to snowboard our many beautiful mountains and is leading me to Japan in January to experience their culture and their infamous snow. I love to travel and tap into the many cultures and beautiful natural wonders around the globe to grow and learn. I also love to learn through reading and use books, articles, and podcasts to update and reprogram the software of my mind. This has led me down a powerful journey of mindfulness and has inspired my meditation, yoga, affirmations, journaling, health, self-care, and present moment awareness living. I am incredibly motivated and love a challenge as well. I feed my creativity by immersing myself in transformative art and music experiences. I harness the power of being uncomfortable to fuel my personal evolution and create amazing results. The culmination of everything that I have lived and am learning has led me to my role as the Founder and CEO of Good inTents aka the Chief Tent Lady
