IDEAL is a project that operates at the intersection of design and ideology.
Created by artist Savannah Rusher, IDEAL has no corporate agenda or gatekeeping. IDEAL is focused on experimentation, mindfulness, and authenticity. By expanding and redefining the visual and cultural boundaries of surfing, IDEAL is cultivating an inclusive community that respects the ocean.

All production decisions are made from an environmental perspective, including compostable shipping materials and producing in small batches to reduce waste. Everything is locally printed and ethically sourced.

Founder Story

Savannah grew up in Myrtle Beach, SC where she worked at a surf shop and spent her days off in the water. Currently, she lives in Oakland, CA and is a graphic designer (still spending her days off in the water). In hopes of facilitating more creativity, diversity, and mindfulness in surf culture, she created IDEAL in 2020.
