Named after one of mountain bikings greatest-of-all-time Juli Furtado, Juliana Bicycles exists to empower, elevate and encourage more women+ to experience the best of mountain biking by building bikes that fit, perform & last, as well as a community in which everyone feels welcome & supported.
Founder Story Juliana Furtado was a professional American mountain biker who is still regarded as one of the greatest of all time today. Juli’s accomplishments include 5 NORBA National Championship titles, 3x XC World Champion, two World Cup XC titles, a Downhill World Cup title, US Olympic Team Member, and innumerable other accomplishments. Santa Cruz Bicycles made the first female-specific cross country mountain bike and named it the “Juliana” before launching Juliana Bicycles as its own female-led brand in 2013.
