Lilla P
Lilla P is a global lifestyle brand founded by Charleston native Pauline Nakios, who originally sought to create “the perfect tee”. In the years since the debut of that tee, the company has grown into a collection of timeless yet modern styles that are unfettered yet full of subtle details--in addition, a flawless fit!
In the twenty years since its humble beginnings, Lilla P has developed a loyal clientele that has come to trust the creation of understated everyday luxury wardrobe staples. Season after season, the collection is made using superior fabrics that all have a luxurious hand-feel. Lilla P looks great, wears well and is easy to take care of.
With quality and social consciousness being paramount to Lilla P, our garments are only produced in reputable factories that ensure international standards for ethical business practices are adhered to.
Pauline, along with her husband Thomas run the business from the headquarters in downtown Manhattan, conveniently located in the same building as the Lilla P retail store. They have created a company culture that values a work/life balance as well as a commitment to the small businesses that have helped to build theirs.
After graduating The University of Georgia, Pauline moved to Atlanta to create “The Perfect Tee”, which would become the cornerstone of her brand, Lilla P. The company was launched in 1998, named after her grandmother “Lilla” and herself “P”.
Over the decades, Pauline has expanded her label from a single “essential tee” to a full collection of luxury ready to wear separates.
Moving to New York City in 2001 allowed Pauline to further develop and expand the brand. In 2006, her husband Thomas left the finance world to join Lilla P as CEO, and together they have grown the business to what it is today. Lilla P is now sold in boutiques throughout North America, online and in their own store located in New York City.
Together, Pauline and Thomas run a thriving business, are raising two young boys in the city, and are involved in a variety of community and non- profit organizations. When they are not in New York, Pauline and Thomas spend their time on Sullivan’s Island, SC or traveling the world exposing their children to other cultures and gaining inspiration for the brand.
