Founded by Rita Romayev, Lost Creek creates exclusive, high-quality artwork that captures the love, personality, and spirit of each pet — transforming moments into timeless, printed memories.
Rita’s passion for photography is rooted in her own story — growing up in a military family taught her the power of photographs to create a sense of home and belonging. Today, she brings that same emotional connection to every client experience, helping pet parents preserve meaningful memories that last a lifetime.

Founder(s), CEO and/or President Rita Romayev
Rita Romayev is the founder and sole photographer behind Lost Creek Photography, a woman-owned business based in beautiful Kalispell, Montana. For over 15 years, she has specialized in capturing the authentic connection between people and their beloved animal companions through fine-art, on-location photography.
Growing up in a military family and moving often, Rita learned the emotional power of photographs — how printed images could turn each new house into a home and preserve a sense of belonging through change. That early lesson shaped her belief that photography is more than art — it’s love, memory, and connection made visible.
As a one-woman business, Rita personally guides every step of the client experience, from the first meeting to the delivery of handcrafted artwork designed to last for generations. Her calm energy, patience, and deep understanding of animals allow her to create timeless, heartfelt portraits that celebrate the soul of every pet.
Beyond her work with clients, Rita volunteers as a photographer for the Humane Society of Northwest Montana, helping shelter animals find their forever homes. Her compassion for both people and animals inspires every image she creates.
