Becoming a new mother was an amazing experience that came with a hurricane of emotions. We were scared, excited, and a little shocked at how difficult motherhood was, yet how determined we were to overcome each challenge because of our baby.
During pregnancy, we were prepared and knew what to expect, but for the postpartum period? We were completely unprepared for the physical and emotional challenges that came with early motherhood.As much as we tried to push forward, we were overcome with a constant feeling of guilt around things like:
AM I PRODUCING ENOUGH MILK FOR MY BABY?
WHAT AM I SUPPOSED TO EAT?
HOW AND WHEN DO I HAVE TIME TO TAKE CARE OF MYSELF?
We needed help, but didn’t know where to start. Majka was born out of our own challenging experiences as exhausted, depleted, and overwhelmed new moms.
With everything we were trying to learn and adjust to, we wanted our nutrition to be the least of our worries. However, we simply couldn’t find a wholesome, high-quality product we could trust to deliver us the postpartum nutrition and lactation support we needed.
SO, WE STOPPED LOOKING—AND CREATED IT INSTEAD.
