Founder Story Tomide was inspired to start Olori by the beautiful cultures of her people. Growing in Nigeria, she was always surrounded by traditional prints and textiles. These textiles are symbolic of roots so deep and stories so dear to her people. She has always admired the art and craftsmanship behind these textiles. By incorporating African fabrics into modern design, her mission with Olori is to invite people to experience the beauty and culture of Africa. Olori was also inspired by the trailblazing women in Tomide's family. Women like her grandmother, who was denied an education because of her gender, but who, through sheer determination, ensured that all her children got an education. Tomide is proud to carry on her legacy in Olori. The goal is to honor our roots by showcasing the beauty of Africa and to create the future by making room for women and girls to thrive.
