Founder Story Kate is a mother, educator, career river guide and outdoor enthusiast. While earning her masters in the science of nutrition she learned about "entomophagy"- the practice of eating insects, embraced by 2.5 billion people globally. She became very interested in some people's ability to avoid iron-deficiency anemia with the supplementation of mopani caterpillars to the vegetarian diet. From here she built her business to target the western world with an "crickets as ingredients" approach to normalizing this practice in the western world. Orchestra is a 1% for the Planet business with B-corp aspirations. This business was founded on values to improve the world we live in-not purely out of profit.
