QEJA BLLC

QEJA (pronounced "kay-jah") makes incredibly soft and functional socks for the active lifestyle. We took the DNA of a cycling sock and made our dream sock using more sustainable materials and crafting them in Italy. We are a family of skiers, cyclists, runners, and Earth enthusiasts, and we're on a mission to provide women (and everyone) with a really great, comfortable sock that can keep up with all their day-to-day activities and athletic pursuits. Masterfully crafted in Italy, a cycling mecca and world leader in quality clothing manufacturing.

Founder Story
The founders include sisters Quincey, Erin, and Linda, and together, they run many of QEJA's operations, from design, brand direction, marketing, and customer relations.... well, as a small family-run business, they wear many hats!

QEJA was started over "COVID Christmas" in 2020. Our family was extremely fortunate to be together in our parents' Park City home, where their kids grew up. For nine weeks, nine adults and one toddler shared the same house (all of our parents' kids, three spouses, and one grandkid). We sheltered-in-place together, cooked meals, played in the snow and played card games, and shared our feelings about uncertain futures and sudden career transitions. The conversations often turned to our hobbies and the gear associated with cycling, skiing, running, etc. A pickiness for good socks was a common theme, and we thought - what would it take to make our ideal sock? Could we make a business with our diverse skills within the family, and could we be a business for good, not just for profit? We laid the foundations for QEJA BLLC (Utah Benefit Corporation) and spent our days brainstorming. Erin, a designer by education and trade, drafted the sock designs and construction. Linda was going to school for marketing, a crucial skill for any business. Quincey, a Jill-of-many-trades, and her partner, Mitchell, built a website, arranged legal documents, and all the other tiny details it takes to set up an e-commerce business. We have been fully operational as of Fall 2022 and are growing organically and steadily!
