What started as work soon turned into a passion.. I started sewing in 2016 working for Calico Alchemy as an apprentice, where I learned the basic fundamentals of garment construction and natural dyes. My own handmade creations were born in 2018 after I tore my ACL and had full reconstructive surgery. I started sewing again to stay mentally busy while I healed my physical body. What started with up cycled hemp hoodies and dreadlock hats has evolved to Seam Of Life today. Small batch / plant dyed hemp + merino wool active lifestyle apparel. I am proudly a one woman shop - which means I dye the fabric, design sewing patterns from scratch, cut, sew, model and ship out all of your orders!
I choose to use the most sustainable and durable natural fibers - hemp and merino wool. I proudly source ZQ certified merino wool, which is the global standard for sustainable wool. I also utilize "deadstock" merino wool that's leftover fabric from large companies. I love creating one of a kind, durable, sustainable functional fashion for all of life's epic adventures!
