Skida Headwear & Accessories

In the winter of 2008, Corinne Prevot picked up some patterned stretch fabrics at the May Store in Lyndonville, Vermont and made hats for her cross-country ski teammates and friends at Burke Mountain Academy. Soon the demand for her colorful hats grew, as did the variety of prints. As the buzz snowballed beyond the New England ski community, new products joined the line to keep everyone warm and colorful. Eleven years later, the brand is still committed to local production, limited edition products, and a fresh perspective. Skida’s mission is to bring people together, encourage play, generate smiles, and make a better place. Always, made in Vermont.

Founder Story
In the winter of 2008, Vermont skier Corinne Prevot picked up some fun, patterned fabric and started making hats for her Burke Mountain Academy teammates and friends. Soon the demand for the colorful hats grew, as did the variety of prints. As the buzz snowballed beyond the New England ski community, new products joined the line to keep everyone warm and colorful.

While in school as a ski racer and student at Burke and then Middlebury College, Corinne scrambled to keep up with the business. She worked closely with Margie, the secret weapon, the queen of logistics, the best mom ever. Together, they grew the business and connected with local seamstresses to help with the sewing. Since graduating from Middlebury College in 2013, Corinne brought Skida to Burlington, Vermont where it has continued to thrive.
