Founder Story Rachel Winard, Soapwalla's founder, started making skincare out of sheer necessity! Rachel has systemic lupus erythematosus (SLE), an autoimmune illness that can manifest itself in a number of ways. Alongside internal organ involvement, she gets terrible skin rashes, hives, and irritated skin patches. When it was at its worst, Rachel could barely use water on her skin without irritation.
Soapwalla was born one late night in early 2002, after months of unsuccessfully hunting for face and body products that wouldn’t aggravate her sensitized skin. Rachel tried everything on the market she could find, without luck, and finally decided to start making products that were as healthy and wholesome as possible.
Soapwalla premiered in 2009, and we have never wavered from our commitment to quality over everything else.
