Founder Story

A California girl, living, loving, and creating on Hawaiian land

Aloha! Hola! Hello!

My name is Annalise and I am the creator of the Sweet + Salty Supply Co. Brand.

I am an artist, creator, surfer, drummer, photographer, and entrepreneur.

I am infinitely inspired by the natural world, and especially the sea.

From the ocean to the mountains, mother nature is what keeps me happy, creative, and grateful.

I was born and raised in a little Southern California town called Encinitas, on Kumeyaay land. Surrounded by surf culture, and many inspiring artists of all backgrounds, I feel so lucky to have grown up there. I now live respectfully on Hawaiian land on the very special island of Kaua'i.

With the creation of this little brand, I hope to attract a community of womxn who love the earth and oceans, and appreciate each others' friendship as much as I do. Womxn are incredible beings, and including all the ways that womxn identify, we are an unstoppable force when we put our minds together. We change the world, constantly.

I also hope to inspire the next generations- to be supportive of each other, in and out of the water, to feel comfortable in their own beautiful skin, to feel confident in themselves, and trust in their own abilities. And to recognize their support circle, so that they can reach out for help when they need it. I think it is safe to say that growing up and going from little girl to grown, independent womxn is a rocky road with lots of challenges, but with a strong support network of womxn we admire, we are able to grow and blossom into who we are meant to be (and know that we are not confined to anyone else’s idea of who that is). I am eternally grateful for all of the beautiful souls that helped me grow, and for all those I have yet to meet.

Sisterhood looks different for each of us, but we are all a part of it, connected like the pull of the moon and the tide.

And so, “Like the moon and the tide, together we rise.”

Together, we can create a more conscious and loving world for our future generations.

Aloha,

Annie
