When my son, Logan, was a baby, mealtime was the most stressful part of our day. He screamed the moment he got near his highchair. He arched his back, fought the seat, refused to eat — and out of desperation, I let him crawl while I tried to feed him. He ended up choking twice due to unstable positioning.
What we were living through felt unpredictable, unsafe, and emotionally exhausting. Like any parent in survival mode, I did whatever I had to do to get him to eat. But in the process, I became anxious, defeated, and disconnected from what should have been a nourishing experience for both of us.
One day, in the middle of a hormonal meltdown, I remember thinking:
“There has to be a better way… something that gives parents and children more options and versatility to adapt to real life as it's happening.”
But that product didn’t exist.
Traditional highchairs assume all kids sit the same way, at the same stage, and only adjust as children grow — not in the moment, when posture, regulation, motor planning, or confidence can shift second to second.
So I teamed up with leading pediatric specialists — neurodevelopmental pediatricians, feeding therapists, OTs, and PTs — shared my idea, and together we built something entirely new:

It supports children whether they’re seated or standing (once developmentally ready), and gives parents options in the moment. It’s engineered for alignment, stability, independence, and engagement — the core drivers of mealtime success.
Veza Innovations was born from the most vulnerable chapter of my life as a parent.
